DIGITAL RADIOGRAPH

High level service

The digital format is an evolution of the digitized ones. The original image is converted directly into an electronic file, with the use of a special laptop at the patient’s home, and not in a special vehicle.
On the contrary, the process of digitized radiography required transport to a special vehicle where the original image was converted into an electronic file with the help of a digitizer.

  • With the lowest radiation dose
  • The results are immediately available with the signature of a radiologist
  • Suitable for difficult diagnostic cases

In compliance with all standards of SOS DOCTORS

ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

  • Lower dose of radiation dose – maximum radioprotection.
The radiation dose is limited to less than half and constitutes the safest radioprotective method.
  • Excellent image quality – high spatial resolution – low noise.
Our radiographs have high image quality even at high zoom, when you want to focus on an area of interest.
  • Minimum examination time.
The image is recovered at the patient’s home, which ensures minimum examination time. The patient and the orthopedic doctor can look at the radiograph immediately and save time. In the case of a fracture, the orthopedic doctor can verify his assessment. Via the laptop, he is able to “erase” the image of the fresh plaster, see through the anatomical structure and focus on the underlying pathology of the fracture, confirming the proper placement of the plaster cast.
  • Suitable for difficult diagnostic cases.
Digital radiography is also appropriate for difficult diagnostic cases, as it can illustrate microfractures with great clarity (navicular region). It enables the diagnosis of mainly unclear orthopedic cases (e.g. acetabular roof fracture, cracked metacarpal and metatarsal fractures, intercondylar ridge fracture of the knee joints) whilst avoiding (and not replacing) more complex imaging tests, e.g. computed tomography
  • Synchronized action between the physician & the radiologist.
In addition, the rapid recovery of the radiological image allows the synchronization of the physician and the radiologist (in cases of dislocation reduction, cast placements etc.) and enables urgent handling, as the radiograph is able to guide the medical handling.
  • It is suitable for young people and women of reproductive age, in situations of reduced mobility, as it requires lower radiation doses but does not affect the diagnosis (high image quality).
  • Exclusive coordination by SOS doctors, services at home by our partners. Some private clinics perform digital radiography, but NOT in bed, so it is a truly innovative service.
