Hematology is a particular branch of medical science concerning the study of blood, both in normal and pathological form.
You must request the visit of a hematologist at home if you have low or high hematocrit/hemoglobin, leukopenia, leukocytosis or lymphocytosis, thrombocytopenia or thrombocytosis, thrombophilia, coagulation disorders, bleeding/bleeding rash, palpable lymph nodes/lymphadenopathy, bone pain of unknown origin, splenomegaly/hepatomegaly.
