 The coordinator SOS DOCTOR answers the phone call and takes the history of the patient, so that the patient will be referred to the doctor with the appropriate speciality. If the patient or his relatives are panic-stricken, the instructions given by the SOS DOCTOR are very useful.
 The SOS DOCTOR arrives at the patient’s side as quickly as possible with one of the organisation’s specially-equipped vehicles.
 The SOS DOCTOR remains with the patient until the crisis has passed, having at his disposal the proper medical equipment and providing the necessary medical-pharmaceutical care.
 The SOS DOCTOR informs the patient and the attending doctor at all times with a written medical report. The SOS DOCTOR philosophy is that under no circumstance does the SOS DOCTOR seek to supersede the patient’s attending or family doctor, whom he replaces at the time of treatment.
 The fee for the medical examinations that the SOS DOCTOR conducts is determined and an invoice is always given. Invoice may be submitted to the patient’s insurance company or the Inland Revenue Department for reimbursement.
SOS DOCTORS liaise with the patient in order to monitor his progress, while the SOS DOCTOR and the provided services are evaluated on a continuous basis. |
